Summary

The janitor position performs custodial work in offices, public area and in warehouse or grow rooms under supervision only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.

Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.

Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.

May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks. Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.

Assist with the implement of company policies, standard operating procedures and performance standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

Education and/or Experience1-3 years janitorial experience

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
